I guess this is for ALL models but I just want to make sure as I've only had
my PSP for 8 hours :D

    It's a Slim with 3.80.

I'm good to go using this tutorial, yes?

    Thanks, appreciate it.

yes, this will make a magic memcard that can be used on ANY psp regardless of what firmware it is as long as u have a service/pandora battery.

    Followed tutorial. Nice & easy.

    PSP now running 3.90 M33-3.

I'm having trouble running .cso files & emulators.

    A mixture of 8002014C & 80020148 errors.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

sandgroba should include 1.5 kernel for phat users. The 1.5 kernel is for PHATS only not slims. You can run the fatsmods patch however for better ms read speed.
    1.5 kernal addon patch V2 for 3.90M33(fat psp's only, NOT 4 slims.)
    http://www.sendspace.com/file/1ar5kp
3.71 fatmsmod.prx patch (improves memcard read speed)
    http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zzmyy5m3jwm
Move the 'fatmsmod.prx' file to the root. Move the 'fatmspatch' folder to /PSP/GAME and run after you updated to 3.90 M33-3.

I forgot to mentio, I have a 'slim'.

    Any help appreciated.

BTW I've ran through the tutorial again and left FW at 3.80 M33-5.

Should I re-format the MMS after installation?

    IMPORTANT
Now that u have custom M33 firmware, u need to set ur iso loader and boost ur cpu speeds...
to do so, enter VSH menu (press home button from xmb for 3.52 users and select button from xmb for 3.71+ users) then scroll down and set umd mode/iso loader to SONY NP9660(The Best!)
and, boost ur cpu speeds in game and xmb to 333/166, this will not harm ur psp(only uses battery up a little faster)(Wifi card can become hot if used for long periods @ this speed)
Also, format memstick to delete unneeded install files and create folder structure...

All praise goes to the genius DARK ALEX, For his outstanding creation of SE/OE/M33 firmwares.
Also, read Demonchild's tut on M33 firmware to understand more.

    GAMES/ISO'S:
A few reminders for playing iso/cso games:
-You must have Custom Firmware(OE/SE/M33) or 1.5(using dev-hook) on ur psp
-Make sure gamename is less than 20 characters
-New games require higher firmware, upgrade to the latest CF
    -Iso/cso files go in ISO folder(eg. ms0:\ISO\wipeout.iso)
-U must have a folder called "game" in psp folder (ms0:\psp\game) make one if u must or format memcard with psp to create folder structure...
-make sure u have set iso loader/umd mode to SONY NP9660(best) or M33(also good), this is found in recovery>config or in VSH menu...
-make sure ur memstick is not fake.
-some prx's(such as screenshot.prx) can interfer with loading iso's
-some "backups/iso's" are corrupt, try a different copy
-if u get the 80020148 error loading a game, enter recovery menu>advanced and format flash1 and reset settings, then reset ur iso loader and try again..

for slims use time machine to run your emulators or emulators ported for 3.xx firmware
