no, it's a battery you can buy.

the battery that psp comes with is "standard" battery.

a service battery enables your psp to start in service mode.

    great layout man, awesome job.
although you could describe what's a jigkick is so that newbs won't get confused, but that would be too much ^-^
I really like the fact that you included info about psx games

Ok, having done some reading of the forums - I am at that point that I now have to POST to help me through this maze of downgrading and then upgrading my son's psp.

I have a PSP Slim. It says it is running System Software Version 4.00.

I have followed the guide, downloaded the files - however, I note that the version of PSP Grader is currently 005 - not 001. The screen shot that is referred to in the tutorial is different, v005 relates to a 3.90 eboot - there is not two screens that allow the 1.50 and 3.80 files that I downloaded, to be included.

So... at step 2... I have stalled. I desperately want to put custom software on my sons psp - but can't - I have a DATEL battery all ready and a 4 gig memory card ready to be made into a magic stick :)

Please help. What do I do ? Does someone have a link to PSP Grader V001 that I can download and install so I can follow the yellow brick road ????

    PLEASE HELP :)

Hope it helps. Now all I need is to get the pandora or datel battery. Where did you get yours Illuvium?
