Got the same error, I don't even know how to install active x without trying to find a site using IE (I'm not going to do that).

I'm trying to install ppjoy on my pc (windows 7) but I get an error message! "Error installing devide drivers. PPjoy will not be operational. You will need to manually instal the devide drivers."

The installation went smoothly but there is no reaction on any of the input... What could be wrong?
I got the same error. It seems like Windows 7 accept only USB game controllers

.....So i found this tutorial on youtube and I was having problems INSTALLING the driver on WINDOWS 7 so after a lot of reading I found this. IDK if anyone else was having the same problem so maybe it will help someone?

    http://drop.io/ppjoy0846testrelease

This fixes the install the device drivers manually error. It checks to see whether it allows driver signing or not then changes it for your pc after a reboot allowing you to install it.

If anyone can get it to work from there I'd appreciate some help. I got ppjoy working followed the ORIGINAL instructions to the T and my psp gets stuck at connection state 2 of 4: Starting up. What could be wrong?

    OK I FOUND THIS....

    - If you use OE 3.x or M33 3.x, make sure your GAME directory is set to 3.x kernel. Otherwise, it will hang on stage 2 of connecting.
    what does that mean??????? Anyone?

I can't get it to work for the life of me, I'm running the server through the app folder and whenever I try to connect my PSP sits there at "Connection state 6 of 4: Idle." (6 of 4 because of my encryption). Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

Hi, yes that version does work on Win7 - 64 bit!!!
Just use the most recent firmware??? Also, if your using this from 5.00M33-6, ensure you use the 3.4+ version! (just dump it into the 'game' folder).

So yea, i got that bit working.
But does anybody know how to perform the 16th step in Mango's tut?

working on the screen. I recommend calibrating the Analog Stick too.
(the bits in bold, 'properties'! Yes, i cannot find properties anywhere.)
(Can anyone give me more hints, to where it is located?)
(is it my version of PPJOY? currently running v0.84.6.000)

    PLEASE HELP!!!

    ===EDIT===
It seems to me, properties isnt a big concern! YES!
I was testing the controls on Dolphin SVN, (a GC & Wii Emulator) in the configuration settings it seems to have detected the inputs from the PSP (Nice). So, i believe you just have to set your config. on individual applications... (but still cool). I just hope others are just as advanced...
Anyways go Dolphin's Homepage, to check if its working. If anyone needs assist, few free to pm me, or post back. (I still want to know about the 'properties'!)
