Default [tutorial] seriously extend the PSP battery life

Well there's nothing much to it, download CFWEXTENDER a very handy app which performs alot of actions but for this post it dims the screen below the SONY defaults using a scale from 1-100 I have mine on 8 and its playable in the house 90% of the time with the exception of bright sunlight.

here's my 100% battery time, in double figures!

its equal to about 6-7 hours actual game time.

also download the PSP power saver v0.1.1

And also the usual tips for switching the wifi to power saver mode apply as well as using the cpu values of 100mhz on the XMB and 222mhz for games, this will allow you to run everything smooth except from the laggy GTA stories games.

have fun, and post your battery % pictures if you feel like it.

    regards
    alex

EDIT: try not to bring up the menu in game as good an app as it is, it does conflict on the rare occasion with other apps.

I am going to suggest leaving GAME CPU speed at either Default or at 333. As some games require the PSP's full power to run correctly (such as God of War which runs at 333).

I've managed to play GOW at 222mhz for 12 hours of the game, with 2 seconds of slowdown at certain points to load the level but, apart from that its full speed, but it is just my personal experience, I've managed to play all my games with 222mhz - Crisis Core, dissidia, chilli con carnage, etc

When playing God of War it freezes when I press the note+r combo to bring up the menu. PSP 1004 5.50gen-d3 Tekken 6 also froze after few matches -_-

I tend not to bring it up in game as all the options can be done on the XMB and will still be in effect when you play, but i've never had any trouble with it and playing games without bringing the menu up should work fine.

I tried the PowerSaver Plugin by itself before and it seemed like it actually took up more power when I used it. Also as far as the double-digit battery time, mine has displayed a double-digit battery time as a glitch before, so Im not sure how that would prove that its working.

Also if you put your screen brightness on 8, what is the default?
