    Default [Tutorial]Identifying PSP motherboard&module

    Hello and welcome everyone
So you're on OFW and want to downgrade to another OFW? But confused about so many module types?
First of all, PSPident is only important for PSP 2k to identify if they have TA088V3 or not thus determining if PSP is fully hackable or not. It also requires your PSP to be already CFW or HEN enabled. The PSP Module Checker is most important for PSP 3000 to determine if you have 03g, 04g or 09g module types which play a role in knowledge if your PSP is downgrading capable or not

    Downloading&Using PSPIdent 0.7
    1-Download PSPIdent 0.7
    2-Extract it
    3-Copy pspident_v07 to PSP/GAME on your PSP
4-Run PSPIdent from Game-Memory Stick on your PSP
    5-Check motherboard version.

    Downloading&Using PSP Module Checker
    1-Download PSP Module Checker
    2-Extract it
3-Copy PSPModuleChecker to PSP/GAME on your PSP
    4-Run it from Game-Memory Stick
5-Check what your module is under :
"PSP Module: This PSP module is 0Xg" where X will be your module type.

Well done, you've determined your mobo/module!

You seem to put the same link for both. Both links are for the PSP Module Checker.

Excuse me Erland but why should I? What would anybody gain from looking at that? I mean except for pro's, but this tut is for newbs. This info is all in pspident.
Oh and srsly, not to be offensive, but how come you put that together alone? You must have got that info somewhere.

Why tell someone how to get this information if your not going to tell them what it means or what it's used for. I just don't get it but, it was just a suggestion. Don't worry I'll have something put together shortly to explain it all.

Me and the people from MaxConsole, Silverpring, jas0nUK, and the people over at Lan.st put this together. It was put together for jas0nUK for PSPIdent. I'll remove my post, sorry for suggesting it.

I didn't mean to be offensive sorry. You can put it back again mate.
But I did tell people why they get this info

Again sorry I didn't mean it as offensive. It wasn't my intention. I just can't believe you put it all together alone.

its quite possible that OP will make an overall thread that encompasses why you would want to identify your motherboard, under what conditions u would need to use it etc..and that this thread merely shows you how. The encompassing thread would then reference this one.

thats how i make my tutorials.

TBH yes. With so many motherboards that requires a thread of its own.
Btw, kamen, there's a 05g PSP GO, right? Is that downgradable to 6.20 still? or 6.30+ only like 09g of PSP 3000?
