I've created my own Coldboot.vag and put it in the relevant folder for X-Flash to use.
The Coldboot file is flashed ok but when i start up my PSP with the Memory stick in the machine it boots straight to the XMB
with no Sony Computer Entertainment screen or sound.

But when i start it up without the memory stick in it's ok and i get sony screen and my vag file sound.

I've created many others before with no probs.

    Cant understand it............

    Can anyone help ?

Run x-flash and go to option #14.
Press right or left on the d-pad until it reads "open custom firmware configurator" and press X.
Go down to where it says "skip coldboot screen" and press X.
Then press triangle to save the configurator.
    Hopefully problem solved.
