When creating a new project, what mux rate settings are you guys using?

Also, are you creating using Stereo or Mono sound?

    Thanks,

Well, you know I like to keep my gameboots 196KB or less, so they are safe to write direct to flash0.
To do that I use video bitrate settings of 500kps avg 600kps max. Then I check the mps filesize in the mux output folder. If the mps is smaller than 190KB I will add 10kps at a time til I get the mps close to 194KB. Converting to pmf adds 2KB, so that gives you 196KB.

When you have a lot of finely detailed movment in the video, like my current contest gameboot, 500kps wont be enough for smooth output. So in those cases I'll tweek the video bitrate up towards 700avg-800max.
Most of my CIntros are encoded at 700avg-800max, that setting should give a smooth finish from any decent source.

If you want to keep the filesize down for a flashable gboot, consider also dropping the audio bitrate from 128 to 96kps.
