I"m not too sure if should be here or on the programming portion of the site
I was wondering if anyone would be able to create a program that can covert a video file to the gameboot format. I dont know if its possible just thinking aloud

from the stickies above i show it takes several programs inorder to covert the file properly for a gameboot to be made.. just wondering if theres a program that can do all that alittle easier

Sure, go ahead. I dont think you'll find many programmers around here.
The main part of the process is editing your video clip into an avi ready for sonys stream composer.

I always used to just use TMPGEnc to do most of the work (cut, edit, resize, encode...) and then put result of that into Stream Composer and finally use MPS to PMF to make the gameboot/cintro.

That's only 3 programs there and pretty much covers most of work.

Of course if you want to do something custom (not involving a premade clip) or use youtube videos, you're going to need a few other programs.

Anyway, you can't really integrate Stream Composer into a program and give it away to the public so...

no siree, no UMD Tools around here.

I think you might be able to use avc mp4 for source, I might have seen that in the streamcomp manual, I never tried it though.
