I know most of the basics on tearing apart an Xbox 360 and flashing the DVD drive with iExtreme to get it to play burned games, but I'm wanting to know all the technical stuff behind it. Lately I've been hearing about how every time you make a backup of an original disc, it moves certain partitions and whatnot. So I'm wondering how exactly iExtreme can make a burned game look legitimate to the rest of the system to make it boot?

I already typed this all in, so, you got to look, I won't do it again...

Basically, the firmware sends the responses the Dashboard wants. M$ changes the conditions, so the firmware needs updated with the new responses. If you want an EXACT list of challenges and responses, you must look, they are here already...

Listen to Powerslave, he knows his shit.

Also, there's no such thing as iExtreme; It's iXtreme.
