    Default Xbox 360 Controller Help?

My Xbox 360 thumb stick part broke so i replaced it with a new one and it works fine. I tried to charge the battery and it shows it Green after like one minute. now i'm not shore if it really full but that's not the problem. The problem is that is show full and as soon as i pull the charger out like 2 minutes later the controller turns off. so then i try to start it again and it wont start until the charger is in. The battery was working fine before the thumb stick problem but is it that the battery is just dead i have had for like 3 years?

Lithium ion batteries have a life of about 2 years before they lose their whole charge. It varies slightly from battery to battery and amount of use.

360 contollers don't use Li-On batteries, the use 2 shitty Sanyo rechargable Ni-Cd/Ni-MH AA's with an eeprom. They have a very limited lifespan.

The original problem is because the batteries have failed.
