My 360 is connected to the internet via a wireless router and the wireless adapter. However I would like to connect to my PC so I can transfer files etc. How do I do this? I have tried connecting using the windows wizard but couldn't get it to work. Can it be done wirelessly?
    Thanks

The PC only needs a Wireless adapter, or WIRED adapter to the router. You cannot FTP for transfer files between the Xbox360 and PC anyway. You can use the PC as a MEDIA SERVER, that's it. That is probably another reason it does not work, you are doing something that can't be done right now. If the PC is on the internet, obviously because you are on to ask, then you're done. If the PC is in the router, that's it, there is no magic. You CANNOT TRANSFER FILES from PC to XBOX 360, or XBOX 360 to PC -via- LAN, only MEDIA to xbox360 from PC, PERIOD.

You need to DOWNLOAD Windows Media PLayer 11b, and it will act as the server for your 360. You do not need anyting else if you are already behind a ROUTER with both the PC and Xbox360. YOu can also use a USB memory stick to access to the files.

You CANNOT copy them to the Xbox. You can RIP Mudic CDs to the Xbox, but it doesn't copy MP3s, or Pictires to the hard disk, they are always accessed with an external device, or over the network.

If you do not have the original audio disc, then you have to burn the MP3s to a CD-R as audio, and rip them to the Xbox 360. M$ uses a propreitary WMA format for them.

I understand they can't be copied to the Xbox. I just want to be able to access and view them. I have the latest WMP11 and have set it to share files but it doesn't find my 360. All the required ports are open and as I have said I am able to connect to the internet. But not to my PC!!
