Downloading the AAC/MP4 codec without live?

Hello,

I want to be able to play divx/xvid on my banned Elite but i can't because i need to install the AAC/MP4 codec from live.

Is there anywhere i can download this codec and stick it onto a Disc/USB and install it myself?

Put your HDD on someone else's XBKX360, and download the update. I tried that, and it worked. I had Two XB360s, so I updated one; brought the HDD from another one, and updated on the same unit. Both worked for the media content.

dragon-x, you can stick your lazy noob up your a$$. I asked for comfermation because the other sites i belong to all said it doesn't work due to the console liscensing.

I know that it worked, because I DID IT!

I used the Kids XBox360 first; I downloaded Media Content when prompted. I Put their HDD on my console, and it worked just fine with DivX/XviD content.

SO, as the experiment; I took My Xbox360 HDD, not downloaded, put it on KIDS 360, and downloaded Media content when prompted. It then worked on both consoles.

Maybe they changed it, who knows, but it DID work, and it isn't like it is protected content, it's just the CODEC for DivX and XviD (which is DivX backwards). If you have a banned console, maybe they're just not allowing it to run on them. All they need do is check the status codes, and if they are banned, you can't use the media content.

BTW, it doesn't work on banned consoles as per the question asked. :P and you can still GFY!
